Hotel Accountant – Hotel Apartments

About the role

We are looking for a highly competent Hotel Accountant to oversee the financial operations of a serviced‑apartments property in Abuja. The role focuses on accurate record‑keeping, revenue protection, expense control and timely reporting to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting records, transactions and reconciliations, including QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
• Monitor and reconcile room revenue, POS, cash, bank, OTA and online payments with PMS/hotel software reports.
• Oversee expense tracking, supplier payments, inventory and purchasing controls.
• Prepare payroll, maintain staff cost records and ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Produce monthly financial and management reports and support budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Proven ability to control revenue leakage and maintain strong financial discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Experience with PMS and hotel management software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
