About the role
The Hausa News Producer will create and deliver high‑quality news content in Hausa across multiple digital platforms, ensuring timely, accurate and engaging coverage for Hausa‑speaking audiences in Nigeria and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Research, verify and source news stories relevant to Hausa audiences using news wires, social media tools and community contacts.
- Write, edit and produce Hausa news scripts, articles, video and audio pieces, incorporating appropriate visuals and subtitles.
- Plan and coordinate coverage of events, pitch original story ideas and collaborate with reporters and casters.
- Publish and manage content through CMS, optimizing it for web, mobile, social media and on‑demand services.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English or related field.
- 0‑3 years experience delivering news in Hausa for a reputable media organization.
- Strong knowledge of Hausa language, culture and Nigerian current affairs.
