About the role
The Video Editor will join the Crime Busters TV production team in Abeokuta, creating engaging episodes that promote public safety and law‑enforcement awareness. This full‑time, on‑site position involves turning raw footage into polished broadcast content.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble and edit raw video footage, selecting impactful shots and ensuring narrative flow.
- Synchronize audio, apply transitions, basic color corrections, and integrate motion and static graphics.
- Collaborate with producers, camera operators, and scriptwriters to meet broadcast deadlines.
- Maintain organized project files, archives, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Strong background in video production and editing for television or documentary formats.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience using graphic tools like After Effects and Photoshop for motion graphics and visual enhancements.
- Knowledge of video color grading, broadcast standards, and audio‑visual quality control.
