Fund Accountant – Asset Management

About the role
The Fund Accountant will independently perform core fund accounting processes and reporting tasks for Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, ensuring accurate General Ledger (GL) and Net Asset Value (NAV) outputs for client and audit deliverables.
Key responsibilities
- Execute day‑to‑day accounting functions for managed funds, including record‑keeping, reconciliations, valuations and fund price generation.
- Resolve GL and NAV exceptions by liaising with pricing, reconciliations and corporate actions teams, applying journal corrections per policy.
- Prepare financial reports and statements in line with local and international accounting and regulatory guidelines, including submissions to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Required profile
- B.Sc (or equivalent Honours) in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Banking & Finance or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is an advantage.
- Experience with financial market instruments and valuation logic to support NAV reasonability reviews.

- Data analysis, root‑cause analysis and risk awareness.
