Field Technician

About the role

Galooli is seeking a Field Technician to install, configure, and maintain remote monitoring systems for clients across the telecom and industrial IoT sectors. The role involves on‑site work, technical support, and data handling to help customers improve energy efficiency and asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure remote monitoring systems at client sites.
• Integrate hardware and software components and perform initial functionality testing.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and diagnose hardware or software faults.
• Provide technical support, respond to client inquiries, and resolve system malfunctions.
• Monitor, log, and analyze data collected by the systems, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Implement data backup procedures and perform firmware or software updates.
• Upgrade hardware components as needed to maintain performance.
• Document installations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to ensure seamless operations.
• Be on‑call for emergencies and adhere to safety and security protocols.

Required profile

• B.Eng/B.Sc/HND in Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering or related sciences.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in technical operations, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Relevant engineering certifications are a plus.
• Ownership of a functional vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and provide on‑call support.
