Executive Director of Operations

About the role

The Executive Director – Operations will lead day‑to‑day operational activities for Norrenberger Securities Limited, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This senior leader will translate strategic objectives into efficient, productive processes across operations, HR, accounting, and sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse internal operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Implement business strategies aligned with short‑ and long‑term objectives defined with the MD.
• Oversee operations, human resources, accounting and partner with the MD on sales management to secure investment capital for growth.
• Manage capital investments and expenses to meet investor growth and profitability targets.
• Monitor performance using tracking software, take corrective actions, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Supervise the dealing team, equity and fixed‑income traders.
• Oversee sales and distribution of fund‑raising mandates and transactions.
• Conduct joint calls with affiliates and commercial branches to cross‑sell and increase wallet share.
• Ensure compliance with internal legal, risk policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Chartered Stockbroker qualification.
• Authorized Dealing Clerk status.
• SEC‑sponsored individual designation.
• Certified Risk Analyst (CRA) certification – preferred.
• Minimum five years in executive leadership roles and ten years overall industry experience.
• Extensive experience in equity and fixed‑income trading.
• Working knowledge of the AFEX commodities market.
• Strong leadership, integrity and the ability to diagnose problems quickly.
