Engineer II – Maintenance & Facilities

About the role

The Engineer II provides on‑site maintenance and engineering support for a hotel property in Lagos. Working with minimal supervision, the engineer responds to guest repair requests, performs preventive maintenance, and ensures all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and building systems.
• Inspect, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handover.
• Perform mid‑level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with strong communication skills.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality engineering environments.
• Capability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to safety standards and professional appearance.
