Quality Assurance Officer – 2W & 3W Automobile Assembly

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to oversee the quality of 2‑wheel and 3‑wheel automobile assembly at our Lagos facility. The role ensures that every vehicle leaving the line meets our stringent standards and complies with automotive regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑process inspections at critical assembly stages, verifying compliance with SOPs, torque settings, alignments and fittings.
• Perform final Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) on completed 3‑wheelers, checking engine performance, brakes, electrical systems, suspension and overall build quality.
• Identify defects, carry out Root Cause Analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and Pareto, and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Monitor assembly processes to ensure consistency, support first‑time‑right production and collaborate with supervisors to address deviations.
• Inspect incoming kits and components, report non‑conforming materials and coordinate with stores and procurement for resolution.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, defect logs and quality dashboards; track KPIs such as defect rates, rework levels and First Pass Yield.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives to reduce defects and improve productivity.

Required profile

• Experience in quality control or assurance within automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to conduct thorough investigations and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work closely with production teams.
