Project Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Project Mechanical Engineer will lead the installation, commissioning and alignment of high‑speed manufacturing equipment across multiple sites, ensuring precision and compliance with global safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation, precision leveling and geometric alignment of high‑speed can‑forming and decoration equipment.
• Oversee plant auxiliary utilities including compressed air networks, HVAC, water treatment and gas piping.
• Direct OEM installation teams and mechanical sub‑contractors during assembly and dry‑run phases.
• Review P&IDs, mechanical drawings and equipment layouts to eliminate operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure all installations meet safety, environmental and quality management system requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, automation and process engineering teams for seamless system integration.
• Identify and resolve mechanical failures, installation defects and performance issues during commissioning.
• Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for installed systems.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• COREN registration or equivalent professional association.
• At least 8 years of experience in equipment installation, plant piping and utility setups in high‑speed manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and precision engineering.
