Head Miller – Maize Flour Milling

About the role

The Head Miller will lead the maize flour milling plant in Ogun State, overseeing all technical, operational and production activities. This senior position requires hands‑on expertise to maximise plant efficiency, product quality and food‑safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily milling operations including cleaning, conditioning, milling, packaging and storage.
• Optimize extraction rates, minimise waste and achieve production targets and KPIs.
• Operate, troubleshoot and fine‑tune milling equipment, with a focus on Bühler systems.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with engineering teams.
• Implement GMP, HACCP and other food‑safety procedures and ensure product quality standards.
• Lead, train and mentor operators and shift supervisors, fostering a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in large‑scale maize flour milling or similar industrial milling environments.
• Proven ability to manage production teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of plant safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
