About the role
The Head Chef will lead the kitchen operations for Jades of Green Consulting in Lagos, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. This senior position oversees menu execution, staff coordination, and inventory control to deliver consistent culinary excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Plan kitchen staffing, station allocation, preparation schedules, and daily production.
- Enforce approved recipes, portion sizes, plating standards, and service procedures.
- Inspect ingredients, storage conditions, date labels, and hygiene records; halt service of suspect food and escalate issues.
- Coordinate orders with floor and delivery teams, monitoring ticket times.
- Prepare requisitions, record yields, waste, and transfers in collaboration with inventory personnel.
- Train chefs, conduct menu trials, and report shortages, equipment faults, and quality concerns.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of HND.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar senior kitchen role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations and staff effectively.
