Full-time Baker

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Baker to join our vibrant kitchen at Bistrot Samantha in Lagos. This full-time, on-site position will focus on creating a range of breads, pastries, cookies and specialty items that reflect our Afro-European culinary identity.

Key responsibilities

• Mix, proof and bake artisanal doughs and batters according to recipes.
• Monitor baking schedules to ensure timely output and consistent quality.
• Maintain ingredient inventory and organise workstations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new bakery products and support themed events.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards throughout the baking process.
• Maintain and clean bakery equipment daily.

Required profile

• Proven experience in artisanal and specialty baking.
• Strong food-preparation skills with attention to portioning and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work early shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Reliability, good time-management and teamwork orientation.
• Formal training in culinary arts, pastry or bakery, or equivalent practical experience.
