Director Government Relations Process Technologies

About the role

Honeywell is seeking a Director of Government Relations for its Process Technologies division. Based in Nigeria, you will shape and execute the company’s government relations strategy, influencing policy and regulatory outcomes that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and advancement of legislative and regulatory proposals in up to five U.S. states.
• Identify, analyze, and report business‑impacting legislative and regulatory issues, recommending actions.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulators, elected officials, civil servants, and other key stakeholders.
• Produce high‑quality written recommendations, briefings, publications, and presentations for government audiences.
• Coordinate strategy with consultants and trade association representatives to ensure alignment with Honeywell’s business goals.
• Organize and drive communication with senior leadership, including meetings, briefings, and campaign reviews.
• Participate in industry associations, steering committees, and networking groups to protect and promote company interests.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proven capacity to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
