Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will lead market entry and growth initiatives for Boubid Africa across Lagos and key Nigerian commercial hubs. You will be responsible for building high‑value B2B relationships in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and distribution networks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute aggressive market penetration strategies targeting healthcare providers and distributors.
• Prospect, qualify and close high‑value deals through field visits, networking events and digital outreach.
• Manage the full sales cycle—from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing—while maintaining a robust pipeline.
• Track competitor activity, pricing trends and emerging opportunities to increase market share.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast deals and prepare commercial intelligence reports for leadership.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with PCN guidelines and ethical pharmaceutical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales/BD experience, with at least 3 years in a quota‑carrying role.
• Proven track record of acquiring new business in pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine, diagnostics or cosmetics.
• Established network with medical directors, procurement managers, pharmacy owners and distributors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with modern CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho.
• Strong pipeline management and data‑driven reporting abilities.
