Bid & Tender Engineer

About the role

The Bid & Tender Engineer will lead the identification, analysis and preparation of bid opportunities for oil and gas projects. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, HSE and project execution teams to deliver competitive and compliant proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate bid and tender opportunities, reviewing invitations, scopes, drawings and specifications.
• Develop responsibility matrices and coordinate cross‑functional input for bid preparation.
• Design bid strategies, pricing models and proposal structures.
• Manage vendor pre‑qualification and technical partner sourcing.
• Prepare, compile and submit complete tender documentation through NIPEX and other client portals.
• Utilise e‑procurement platforms such as ARIBA, SMART GEP and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian oil and gas regulations (NUPRC, NOGIC, NCEC, etc.).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in bid and tender management within the Nigerian oil & gas EPC sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related science discipline.
• Strong background in cost estimation, blueprint reading and risk assessment.
• Excellent written communication, time‑management and ability to meet high‑pressure deadlines.
