Senior Electrical Engineer – High‑Rise MEP Projects

About the role

CDL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, installation and commissioning of high‑rise developments in Lagos. You will ensure seamless MEP coordination, supervise on‑site works and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate external consultant drawings, schematics and BOQs for constructability.
• Supervise daily electrical installations, including HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgears, fire alarms and smart‑building infrastructure.
• Manage subcontractors, certify progress payments and lead technical coordination meetings.
• Enforce QA/QC processes and lead final testing, commissioning and integration of all electrical systems.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, with at least 2‑3 years leading MEP on high‑rise or large‑scale projects.
• Full registration with COREN or equivalent engineering body.
• Project Management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit (MEP).
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage power distribution systems.
• Experience with HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgears and fire‑alarm systems.
