Public Sector Insurance Sales Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Public Sector Insurance Sales Officer to drive insurance business within government ministries, agencies and public institutions. The role involves developing new accounts, managing relationships and ensuring revenue targets are met. You will act as the primary contact for public‑sector clients and coordinate with underwriting, claims and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue insurance opportunities across ministries, departments, agencies and government‑owned institutions.
• Prepare and submit quotations, proposals and tender documents in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, procurement officers and finance departments.
• Achieve sales, premium and revenue targets through networking, referrals and structured sales activities.
• Coordinate client information collection for underwriting and monitor policy renewals and premium payments.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospective and existing accounts.
• Participate in government‑related meetings, workshops and conferences while staying updated on procurement procedures.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activities and prepare regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least a university degree in a related field.
