About the role
The Public Health Officer will lead community‑focused health education initiatives in Lagos, helping to raise awareness about disease prevention and healthy lifestyles. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work directly with local populations, supporting both communicable and non‑communicable disease programs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement public health education and awareness programs.
- Conduct community health outreach, screening, and sensitisation activities.
- Educate individuals and communities on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
- Collect, document, and analyse basic public health data.
- Assist with disease surveillance and reporting activities.
- Identify community health needs and contribute to appropriate interventions.
- Support programmes addressing communicable and non‑communicable diseases.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience in public health or a related field.
- A degree in public health, health sciences, or a related discipline.
