About the role
Lily Hospitals Limited is seeking a competent and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Technician to join its pharmacy team in Benin City. The role supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescribed medications.
- Receive, process, and prepare prescriptions for dispensing.
- Maintain proper storage, handling, and documentation of medications and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels, reconcile inventory, and report expired or damaged items.
- Label, package, and distribute medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Provide basic medication information to patients.
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organised, and compliant with regulations.
- Participate in quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
- Assist with procurement, receiving, and stock management of pharmaceutical products.
Required profile
- Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician from a recognised institution.
- Registration with the appropriate regulatory body, where applicable.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a hospital, retail, or similar pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
