Regional HUB & Country Director, West-Central Africa

About the role

PATH is seeking a dynamic leader to head its West‑Central Africa Regional HUB and the Nigeria country office. Reporting to the Chief of Africa Region, the Director will drive health‑innovation programs, strengthen partnerships, and expand business development across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic priorities for country portfolios within the HUB.
• Oversee program management to ensure targets and results are met.
• Lead the development and scaling of country portfolios, leveraging technical and business development expertise.
• Build and nurture relationships with local partners, governments, and international donors.
• Coach country teams on opportunity identification, proposal preparation, and negotiation.
• Implement business‑development strategies, donor mapping, and fundraising initiatives.
• Promote PATH’s brand and communicate its value‑add to stakeholders.
• Ensure financial sustainability, partner satisfaction, and risk‑managed delivery of services.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to align business development with program delivery.

Required profile

• Proven track record in program leadership, business development, and team building within the health or development sector.
• Experience managing multi‑country portfolios and complex stakeholder ecosystems.
• Strong representation and communication skills to engage senior partners and donors.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue‑generating activities and secure funding.
