Merchant POS / Agency Banking Officer

About the role

The Merchant POS / Agency Banking Officer will be responsible for expanding and supporting NairaPoint's agent network across Lagos. You will recruit, onboard and train new merchants and agents on point‑of‑sale (POS) usage while ensuring a high level of service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and train new agents/merchants on POS usage.
• Manage existing agent relationships, provide ongoing support and resolve complaints.
• Monitor transaction volumes, ensure POS terminal uptime and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate teams.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) agency banking guidelines.
• Drive growth in transaction volumes and deposits through the agent channel.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in agency banking, merchant services or fintech operations.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and agent networks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
