Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician to join the team at Clear Essence California Spa in Lagos. The role involves supporting the upkeep of guest rooms, spa facilities, public areas and building services to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting repairs.
• Perform routine inspections of rooms, hallways, spa rooms, offices and outdoor areas.
• Replace bulbs, switches, sockets, shower heads, faucets and other minor fixtures.
• Support garden and water‑system checks, generator, pump and air‑conditioning monitoring.
• Carry out scheduled preventive‑maintenance tasks and help with room turnarounds.
• Record work performed in the maintenance logbook or digital system and report material shortages.
• Respond quickly to guest complaints, power outages, water leaks or equipment failures.

Required profile

• OND qualification or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn, strong attention to detail and reliable punctuality.
• Good physical strength and stamina for hands‑on tasks.
• Team player with a respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues.

Required skills

• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and spanners.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
