Female Chef

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated female chef to manage daily meal preparation, kitchen organization, and food stock for a household in Lagos. The role involves cooking both Nigerian and intercontinental dishes while ensuring meals are healthy, tasty, and served on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including soups, stews, rice dishes, pastries, and small chops.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well‑organized kitchen at all times.
• Plan weekly menus and create a food timetable.
• Shop for groceries and manage food stock to prevent waste or spoilage.
• Ensure all food is prepared hygienically and meets quality standards.

Required profile

• Female, aged 25‑45, with at least 3 years of experience as a residential or house cook.
• Proficient in cooking a variety of Nigerian soups (Egusi, Ogbono, Okro, Afang, Edikang Ikong, Banga, Oha) and intercontinental dishes.
• Neat, honest, well‑mannered, and able to live on‑site (accommodation provided).
• No health issues that would affect performance.

Required skills

• Cooking Nigerian soups such as Egusi, Ogbono, Okro, Afang, Edikang Ikong, Banga, and Oha.
• Preparing intercontinental dishes.
• Baking small cakes, meat pies, and similar pastries.
