Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join the facilities team at Lekki Grandview Hotel as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and public areas remain functional and safe. You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC tasks in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in guest rooms and public areas.
• Perform wiring, socket, lighting, distribution board maintenance and fault tracing.
• Monitor and operate power systems including generator, changeover and inverter/UPS.
• Carry out minor plumbing repairs, fittings, carpentry tasks and air‑conditioning support.
• Respond promptly to guest room issues, log work performed and maintain service records.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures before they occur.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialised repairs such as elevators and water‑treatment systems.

Required profile

• Trade test, OND or proven hands‑on experience in electrical and general maintenance.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience; hotel or facility background is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and comfortable operating generators and changeover equipment.
• Ability to perform minor non‑electrical repairs.
• Reliable, honest and willing to work shifts, including weekends.
