Junior Team Lead (non-management)

About the role

British American Tobacco Nigeria is seeking a Junior Team Lead (non‑management) to oversee production processes and ensure product quality within a making and packing machine environment. The role focuses on meeting volume targets, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a safe, hygienic workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily production targets for volume, brand mix, and machine uptime.
• Maintain quality parameters and ensure staff compliance with EHS standards.
• Coordinate material supply from supporting departments for uninterrupted processing.
• Plan and implement development programmes for sub‑ordinates and manage operational records and administrative tasks.
• Operate within the agreed budget and monitor cost effectiveness.
• Facilitate clear communication among team members and with all partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with 2‑3 years of relevant experience, or HND with solid experience.
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with Excel and other computer‑related systems.
