Internal Audit Officer – Manufacturing Focus

About the role

JMG Limited is looking for a detail‑oriented Internal Audit Officer to join its internal control team. The role focuses on evaluating financial and operational processes within a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance, identifying risks, and recommending improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk‑based internal audits of procurement, inventory, production, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
• Review financial records, general ledgers and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Verify cost accounting systems, including raw material usage, work‑in‑progress, finished goods and scrap reporting.
• Assess internal controls over manufacturing cycles and ensure adherence to company policies and statutory regulations.
• Prepare concise audit reports with actionable recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads on process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support external auditors and conduct special investigations or forensic audits when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certification (CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of internal or external audit experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing company.
• Hands‑on experience auditing manufacturing cost elements and variance analysis.

• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo
• Audit management tools
• Knowledge of IIA internal audit standards and risk assessment methodologies
