About the role
The Finance Associate will act as a key financial partner to the leadership team, ensuring the integrity of accounting records and supporting strategic decision‑making. Based in Abuja with a hybrid work model, the role combines day‑to‑day financial operations with longer‑term planning and analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Lead financial closing processes and perform variance analysis to monitor performance.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for planning and decision‑making.
- Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and overall treasury operations.
- Oversee project budgets, track fund utilization, and monitor project profitability.
- Establish financial controls and reporting processes for project funds and client engagements.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory obligations, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
- Provide financial insights, cost‑optimization recommendations, and support investment decisions.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, auditors, and financial partners as the primary finance contact.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ICAN/ACCA certification is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Zoho).
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and effective communication skills.
