Finance Associate (Hybrid) – Abuja

About the role

The Finance Associate will act as a key financial partner to the leadership team, ensuring the integrity of accounting records and supporting strategic decision‑making. Based in Abuja with a hybrid work model, the role combines day‑to‑day financial operations with longer‑term planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Lead financial closing processes and perform variance analysis to monitor performance.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for planning and decision‑making.
• Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and overall treasury operations.
• Oversee project budgets, track fund utilization, and monitor project profitability.
• Establish financial controls and reporting processes for project funds and client engagements.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory obligations, and financial regulations.
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
• Provide financial insights, cost‑optimization recommendations, and support investment decisions.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, auditors, and financial partners as the primary finance contact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN/ACCA certification is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Zoho).
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and effective communication skills.
