Inspection Officer

About the role

The Inspection Officer will monitor daily activities on a construction site in Lagos, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule and that material movements are accurately recorded. This role supports site engineers, contractors and suppliers by providing timely reports and maintaining up‑to‑date records.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities to verify schedule adherence.
• Maintain accurate records of materials delivered, used, and inventory status.
• Track inventory, reporting shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit daily site progress reports to management.
• Update material usage records using Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors and suppliers for efficient operations.
• Report site issues, delays or observations that may affect timelines.
• Ensure proper documentation of site activities and material movement.
• Assist management with additional site inspection and reporting duties as required.

Required profile

• OND in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in construction or site supervision (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced construction environment.
