HVAC Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated HVAC Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Lagos. You will be responsible for creating accurate HVAC layouts for residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations for various building types.
• Coordinate 3D BIM models with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Specify and size HVAC equipment such as split systems, VRF units, chillers, and air handlers.
• Ensure designs meet local building codes, energy codes, and ASHRAE standards.
• Update design drawings based on client feedback or site changes.
• Prepare equipment schedules, technical specifications, and construction documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in HVAC system design.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit for HVAC design.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD MEP.
• Experience with HVAC design software and load calculation tools.
• Ability to size HVAC equipment and perform BIM coordination.
