Hotel Porter – Guest Services & Luggage Assistance

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Hotel Porter to join our team at Teestone Hotel and Apartment in Lagos. The role involves welcoming guests, handling luggage, and ensuring a smooth first impression of our property.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival, assist with luggage, and escort them to their rooms.
• Explain hotel facilities, services, and amenities to guests.
• Handle luggage during check‑in, check‑out and room changes.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries in a professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, entrance and luggage storage areas.
• Transport packages, deliveries and guest belongings as needed.
• Provide information about local attractions, transportation and nearby amenities.
• Coordinate with front‑desk and housekeeping teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor public areas for security or maintenance issues and report them.
• Support special events and group arrivals or departures.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry luggage safely.
• Professional appearance with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and attention to detail.
