Restaurant Cook

About the role

The Restaurant Cook will work full‑time on‑site in Lekki, preparing and presenting meals that meet the company’s quality and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with both kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
• Organise the workstation, store and prep ingredients, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
• Support menu planning with the kitchen team and adjust dishes based on guest feedback or dietary requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, minimise food waste and follow health, hygiene and safety procedures throughout each shift.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen, with familiarity of various cooking methods.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines and plating standards consistently under time pressure.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with front‑of‑house staff during peak service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
