Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join NJZC International Construction in Lagos. The role will support daily financial operations, ensure accurate record‑keeping and help maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions, receipts, payments and expense records.
• Prepare and maintain accurate ledgers, supporting documentation and financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, payments and outstanding receivables.
• Perform regular bank, cash and account reconciliations.
• Track income and expenses against approved budgets and identify variances.
• Process invoices, payments, petty cash and other financial documentation.
• Support payroll preparation and statutory remittances where required.
• Maintain proper financial records for audit and tax purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting standards.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience working with an international organization.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
• Experience in service, automotive, retail or similar business environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting software.
