Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the daily operations of the Victory Empowerment Centre branch in Marina, Lagos. This role focuses on driving loan disbursement, customer acquisition, and portfolio growth while ensuring compliance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day‑to‑day branch activities.
• Supervise, motivate, and develop loan officers and other staff.
• Drive customer acquisition, loan disbursement, savings mobilization, and portfolio growth.
• Monitor loan repayment, enforce recovery, and ensure proper client appraisal and documentation.
• Conduct field monitoring and business verification.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and credit guidelines.
• Prepare and submit regular performance reports.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve issues.
• Track branch income, expenses, and overall profitability.
• Achieve assigned branch targets and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in micro‑finance banking, lending, or a related financial institution.
• Previous experience as a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Senior Loan Officer is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of micro‑finance lending and loan recovery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven marketing, business development, and customer‑relationship skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
