Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will support Yeson Management’s financial operations in Lagos, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This entry‑level role offers exposure to a range of finance functions within a manufacturing and warehousing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Assist department heads in assembling the annual corporate budget and monitor variances between actual spending and projected targets.
• Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows, oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure timely vendor payments and collections.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, manage payroll processing, and support tax filings and external audit preparations.
• Review financial data to identify cost‑saving opportunities, analyse operational trends and provide actionable insights to maximise profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cash‑flow management and regulatory compliance.
