Loan Recovery Officer

About the role

The Loan Recovery Officer will be responsible for monitoring loan accounts, contacting borrowers, and ensuring timely repayment of overdue loans. This role works closely with credit and customer service teams to reduce the company's non‑performing loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor loan accounts and identify overdue and delinquent loans.
• Contact customers via phone, messages, email and approved channels regarding outstanding payments.
• Negotiate suitable repayment plans where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of recovery activities and customer interactions.
• Escalate high‑risk accounts to supervisors or management.
• Conduct field visits to customers in accordance with company procedures.
• Prepare regular reports on loan recovery performance and outstanding accounts.
• Meet assigned recovery targets and contribute to reducing non‑performing loans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan recovery or related field.
• Minimum of an HND in a related discipline.
