Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of SAO Agro's cocoa processing plant, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with statutory regulations. This role supports both operational efficiency and strategic business objectives across procurement, production, inventory, exports, and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, management accounts and variance analysis.
• Monitor and analyse production costs for raw materials, utilities, labour, maintenance, packaging and logistics; track cost per ton of cocoa processed.
• Conduct inventory valuation and monitor stock movements for cocoa beans, semi‑finished and finished products.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor budget utilisation and provide performance analysis.
• Support strategic planning and investment decisions through financial modelling and analysis.
• Manage treasury functions, banking relationships and payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions and financial reporting requirements.
