Commercial & Marketing Director – Lagos

About the role

CANAL+ Telecom Nigeria Ltd is seeking a Commercial & Marketing Director to lead the launch and growth of its operations in Lagos. You will shape the commercial and marketing strategy for English‑speaking Africa, build high‑performing sales and marketing teams, and drive revenue and brand positioning for the group.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial and marketing strategy for Group Vivendi Africa across English‑speaking markets, aligned with the Group’s master plan.
• Translate corporate objectives into actionable road‑maps for subsidiaries during launch and operational phases.
• Continuously improve the commercial model based on market performance, customer insights and competitive intelligence.
• Collaborate with Group Marketing to strengthen brand positioning and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Recruit, structure and develop B2C and B2B commercial and marketing teams.
• Build and manage distribution networks to support rapid market entry.
• Drive revenue growth while ensuring harmonised commercial processes across the region.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial and marketing leadership, preferably within telecom, media or related sectors.
• Demonstrated success in launching new operations and scaling businesses in African markets.
• Strong ability to build and lead high‑performing sales and marketing teams.
• Excellent understanding of B2C and B2B market dynamics and distribution channel development.
