Civil Engineer

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join its Lagos office. You will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from the early design stage through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil engineering and construction projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and project assessments.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, designs, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and quality standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct quality control checks and resolve technical issues on‑site.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Review contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Assist in procurement planning and material verification.
• Support project planning, risk management, and cost control initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant construction and site supervision experience.
• COREN registration is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works, and civil engineering principles.
• Excellent project management and site coordination abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
