Accountant – Full-time FMCG (Lagos)

About the role

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its FMCG operations in the Free Trade Zone, Ibeju‑Lekki, Lagos. The role involves managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Prepare budget forecasts and publish timely financial statements.
• Oversee balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Conduct audits of financial transactions and ensure data confidentiality.
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings, including bank reconciliations.
• Compute taxes, prepare tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and track payments to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. or HND in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• ICAN certification is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
