Financial Controller – Holding Company

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance function of a holding company within a leading asset management group. The role is responsible for strategic financial management, reporting and advisory to support optimal business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory services to the Board, executive management and subsidiary leaders on financial implications of business priorities.
• Design and manage the balance‑sheet structure for all traditional asset‑management subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with internal ratios and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain the chart of accounts, accounting frameworks and guidelines.
• Interpret financial statements and present insights to drive strategic decisions.
• Create and oversee taxation frameworks for the holding company and subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to statutory provisions.
• Lead enterprise‑wide budgeting, forecasting and cost‑management initiatives, delivering comprehensive financial plans.
• Implement risk and compliance controls across accounting processes and reporting.
• Drive corporate performance management through real‑time management information systems.
• Build and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships and lead the finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, M.Sc. Finance) preferred.
• Professional finance or accounting certification (CFA, CGMA, ACCA, ICAN, etc.).
