Warehouse Operator - Kaduna

About the role

Zipline, a drone delivery service, is hiring a Warehouse Operator in Kaduna State, Nigeria, as part of its Fulfillment Operations team. The operator prepares life-saving packages for delivery to customers, handling picking and packing, cycle counts, checklists and keeping the warehouse organized and clean. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently. It is a full-time position on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inventory accurately into the inventory management software, track and record all goods movements, and store items in the right locations and conditions, including temperature requirements.
• Assist with periodic stock audits and audit reconciliations.
• Pick products from storage according to incoming orders and pack and label them accurately, following standard operating procedures.
• Perform quality checks on picked and packed items to meet regulatory standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and complete routine checklists, complying with safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with specialist ops, flight ops and customer care teams, communicate issues and improvements to supervisors, support other warehouse functions and take part in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.

Required profile

• Preferred: 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Preferred: OND/HND or fresh graduate in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Microbiology, Medical Lab Technology, Community, Pharmacy Technician, Purchasing and Supply Chain or a related field.
• Reliable and flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends.
