Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Simplygood Management And Services is hiring a full-time waiter/waitress in Lagos (Marina). The role covers welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, keeping the dining area tidy and ensuring customers leave satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to customers promptly and courteously, presenting menus and explaining meals, drinks, specials and promotions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, make sure customers get the right orders and handle plates, glasses and cutlery properly.
• Prepare tables before guests arrive and clear them afterwards; maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area.
• Promote special meals and drinks, present bills and process payments where required.
• Monitor customers' needs, handle complaints professionally and report unresolved issues to the supervisor.
• Follow hygiene, food safety and workplace safety standards and work closely with kitchen staff and bartenders.
• Report damaged equipment, customer feedback and operational challenges to the supervisor.

Required profile

• A minimum of 1 year of experience.
• A minimum of SSCE.
