Treasury Accountant – Financial Controller & Treasury Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Controller / Accountant & Treasury professional to oversee the company’s accounting, financial control and treasury activities within a fast‑growing cross‑border FinTech and financial services environment. The role will ensure accurate financial records, manage daily treasury operations and support foreign‑exchange and payment processes while maintaining strong controls and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Oversee cross‑border payment accounting, reconcile transaction‑level records across internal systems, banks and payment processors, and monitor settlement positions in multiple currencies.
• Conduct daily treasury management, produce cash position reports, forecast cash flows and coordinate fund movements between approved bank and payment accounts.
• Monitor foreign‑exchange positions, analyse FX margins, reconcile FX transactions and report realised and unrealised gains or losses.
• Maintain relationships with banking and payment partners, review statements, investigate discrepancies and support onboarding of new partners.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports, cash‑flow and liquidity statements, and provide performance analysis to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, coordinate audit activities and implement effective internal controls.
