Training Officer - Security Personnel

About the role

Marshal Star Security is hiring a Training Officer in Abuja to design, deliver and evaluate training for its security personnel. The role covers induction, operational skills, fitness and safety training, and the assessment of training needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and implement training programmes for security personnel to improve their knowledge, skills and operational effectiveness.
• Conduct induction and orientation training for new recruits on company policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Train staff in access control, patrol procedures, surveillance, incident reporting and emergency response.
• Organise sessions on conflict resolution, crowd control, customer service and professional conduct.
• Instruct on security protocols, risk assessment, threat identification and crime prevention.
• Deliver physical fitness, defensive tactics and safety training where applicable and within legal requirements.
• Assess training needs and build programmes to close skill gaps.
• Monitor and evaluate trainee performance through practical exercises, assessments and periodic competency checks.

Required profile

• HND in Security Management, Criminology or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience.

Required skills

• Fluent ability to type reports is compulsory.
