Security Supervisor

About the role

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security operations within AMCE. The role ensures the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by supervising security personnel, managing security systems, and enforcing protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the security team, including scheduling shifts, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Monitor and maintain security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, record and report them, and follow up on investigations.
• Conduct regular security patrols around the hospital premises, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Oversee access control procedures, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Prepare the security team for emergencies, coordinate with emergency response teams, and organize regular drills.
• Collaborate with medical teams to manage security in sensitive areas while protecting patient privacy.
• Document and report all security‑related incidents in detail, complying with hospital policies and local regulations.
• Train security staff in conflict‑resolution techniques and promote security awareness among staff and visitors.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and regularly report to hospital administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or a related field (MSc preferred).
• Relevant security certifications such as Certified Protection Professional.
• Minimum 5 years of security management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, procedures, relevant laws and regulations.
• High integrity, strong sense of responsibility, ability to stay calm in emergencies, and physical fitness.
