Teller - Dawakin Kudu Branch

About the role

CredPal's Microfinance Bank is looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Teller to handle daily cash transactions and counter services at its Dawakin Kudu branch. The post is full time, junior to mid level, and covers deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other over-the-counter transactions with accuracy, regulatory compliance and good customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan repayments and other over-the-counter transactions accurately and efficiently, verifying customer identity and documents.
• Post transactions correctly in the bank's core banking system and process cash and cheques per approved procedures.
• Maintain the assigned cash till so it balances at start and end of day, count cash daily, reconcile balances and report shortages or excesses immediately.
• Handle, sort and safeguard cash and negotiable instruments properly.
• Provide prompt, courteous service, answer customer enquiries and direct customers needing specialised services.
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, AML/CFT requirements, KYC policies and cash handling limits; report suspicious transactions and keep accurate records for audit.
• Help with branch opening and closing, support vault operations where required, keep the workstation tidy and take part in cash audits and operational reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Teller in a Microfinance Bank.
• Fluency in English and Hausa is an added advantage; must live in Kano State, preferably near Dawakin Kudu.

Required skills

• Core banking application experience.
• Good understanding of KYC, AML/CFT and CBN operational guidelines.
• High integrity, accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure.
