About the role

The Supply Chain & Logistics Associate is essential for improving the agribusiness value chain through efficient procurement and streamlined transportation. Based in Soba LGA, the role focuses on reducing operational costs, building direct links with local farming groups and ensuring affordable, timely delivery of bulk agricultural goods from farms to storage sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead direct purchasing and negotiate transparent, fair prices for bulk grains with specific farm clusters in Soba.
• Improve transport routes and vehicle scheduling to cut logistics costs and avoid transit delays.
• Oversee transport tracking data and keep daily contact with local logistics partners.
• Track local supply patterns and coordinate arrival times to manage offloading schedules at main facilities.
• Prepare weekly reports covering procurement spending, transport performance and changes in handled volume.

Required profile

• Experience in direct procurement and negotiation within the agricultural sector.
• Ability to communicate regularly with local suppliers and transport providers.
• Competence in monitoring supply trends and coordinating operational schedules.
