Strategic Adviser to Management

About the role

A leading financial services group is hiring a Strategic Adviser to Management for a senior, strategic role working directly with Executive Management. This is a mid-to-senior management position based in Lagos, Nigeria, on site and full-time. The adviser acts as the eyes, ears and problem-solver for management, overseeing strategic initiatives, monitoring departmental performance and ensuring key projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership to develop and execute the company's strategic plan and track high-level KPIs.
• Partner with the CFO and Finance team to develop financial models and decision-making tools.
• Prepare materials for board meetings and give regular, analytical reports to Executive Management on business performance.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards across departments.
• Collaborate with HODs, team leads and external stakeholders to drive innovation and growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic or management consulting, or financial services, is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in business development, project management and tracking KPIs.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to present to Executive Management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma or CFA are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling experience (Excel/Google Sheets)
