About the role

Polaris Bank Ltd., a Nigerian bank founded in 2018 with over 250 branches and a digital platform called VULTe, is hiring an Owner. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lagos State, Nigeria, responsible for strategic leadership, long-term vision and the overall performance and sustainability of the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Guide executive leadership and approve major business decisions and policies
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards
• Monitor financial health and risk management
• Foster innovation in products and digital banking
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with customers, investors, regulators and partners
• Champion the bank's values and culture, keeping operations customer-centric and supporting national financial inclusion goals

Required profile

• Extensive experience in banking, financial services or a closely related sector, including executive or board-level leadership
• Proven track record of growing complex organizations, overseeing large-scale operations and driving digital transformation
• Advanced financial acumen, including capital markets, regulatory frameworks and profitability drivers
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a commitment to ethical leadership and transparency
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Experience in the Nigerian financial landscape and familiarity with local and international banking regulations is highly beneficial
