Store Officer

About the role

Castville Solutions is hiring a Store Officer in Gbagada, Lagos, on a full-time basis. The role covers receiving, storing, issuing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage conditions, efficient stock movement, accurate documentation and compliance with inventory control procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods against approved purchase orders and delivery notes, checking quantity, quality and condition and reporting discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Arrange, label and store items so they are easy to identify and retrieve.
• Issue stock only on authorised requisitions and keep accurate records of all stock movements.
• Update inventory records and stock cards after every receipt or issuance.
• Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records; monitor stock levels and flag slow-moving, damaged, expired or near-expiry items.
• Ensure compliance with storage requirements, safety procedures and inventory policies, and keep the store clean, orderly and secure.
• Prepare periodic stock reports, escalate discrepancies and shortages, and support audits and investigations into inventory variances.

Required profile

• OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in storekeeping, inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Good knowledge of inventory management, stock control, goods receiving and issuance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management, plus good communication and teamwork skills.
• High levels of integrity, accountability, professionalism and reliability.

Required skills

• Stock reconciliation and accurate inventory record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
